COACHES

The Mental Management® philosophy compliments the National Training System and provides a solid platform for mental training for coaches and athletes. Mental Management® yielded positive results for USA Archery resident athletes, and, therefore, USA Archery supports broadening this training experience to all coaches so that athletes may benefit from these tools and concepts. USA Archery views Mental Management® as a good investment for a centralized online training program with courses specifically for use by archery coaches.

THE SYSTEM

Personalizing Your Mental Program

You will learn how to apply Mental Management to the sport of Olympic and Compound archery, but the concepts apply to all forms of the sport.

Coach Tom explains advanced concepts used by elite performers to increase mental control and teaches how you can use them to improve your athletes’ performance and consistency.

MASTERING YOUR SELF-IMAGE

Self-image is the sum of your athlete’s habits and attitudes. Self-image influences the difference between a good performance and a great performance. Great performances happen when your athlete’s self-image matches their ability.

This course will teach you the concepts and principles of how self-image works and how it can limit your athlete’s level of performance in pressure situations. You will learn strategies for controlling and changing your athlete’s self-image so they can give the great performances that they’re capable of.

COACHING CHAMPIONS

This course is designed for coaches to discover what you need to know about the mental game when you are working with young, developing athletes.

The most important mental coach in every athlete’s life is the parent that drives them home after the contest, tournament, game, or meet. If you are a coach of that child, you need to understand that situation and that dynamic because it will affect your effectiveness with that athlete.

This course will help make you a skilled mental coach for the sake of those children you so passionately want to support. You will be enlightened and empowered by learning about and how to use the Mental Management System with the young, developing athlete.

Parents can turn the tide for their children by learning & deploying the concepts taught in this course. Coaches can learn to synergize the parents’ role to best support what you, the coach, are doing as you help educate their child.
